​​​The day has finished. After winding down​ at the studio following a team and individual client, I think about where this journey started and where it is currently. I remember when I started picking up a camera for about the 3rd time, I was in college in Guam and decided to take up photography and actually make it stick this time. I signed up for classes in Fine Art and began my journey, which I did not know at that time, that would turn into a career. I am so fortunate to have had Victor Consaga as an instructor to truly kick-start my love for photography. In class, I remember looking ​​at photographs that were created and thinking those are just amazing pieces. I felt like it was impossible to produce such great work by using just my camera and the knowledge of how to use it. I graduated with a minor in Fine Art and was hooked.

After returning home to my hometown, I wanted to hit the ground running. I joined the PPA and our state affiliate, the PPN, and became a sponge for knowledge. I wanted to learn it all, the technical aspects, the lighting, the way to do it right. I dedicated everything to becoming better at my craft and never settling for less. I have met some amazing photographers over this journey and am thankful for every bit of it. 

There is just something about creating something that brings people to tears of joy, deep connections to something that was created with the tools, the knowledge, and me. I have a long way to go, but I am truly loving what I do. I love being a photographer and creating pieces that will be remembered forever. Physical items that can be touched and cherished in a world of digital and imaginary content. This is why I became a photographer.

It is truly an honor to photograph my clients knowing that I am creating a piece that will live with them, that is why I do what I do.
